The 2020 University of Georgia annual report was titled Our Vision Forward. Building on its efforts from 2019, UGA aimed to solidify it’s place among innovation-driven and industry-focused universities. Choosing a direct visual metaphor for the idea of forwardness, I designed the report to emphasize graphically what its stories told literally. To save on budget and resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, our team decided to reduce the report’s page count (the list of donors was delegated to online-only). We also decided to use images already shot by our photographers for previous projects, instead of shooting new ones and risking our team’s health.
